About the project:
This project is a lion and black rhino volunteer monitoring programme set in a remote game reserve in South Africa. The project focuses on lions and white and black rhinos, as well as monitoring cheetahs, elephants, leopards and spotted hyenas within the reserve.
There are the only group monitoring wildlife in the area, and also contributes to reserve management by repairing roads and killing alien plants. The organisation is also very active in preventing poaching, and reports any suspicious activity in the area.

You’ll also have the opportunity to join the rangers as they monitor the endangered black rhinos, walk in the bush and approach wild animals on foot (when necessary and for monitoring purposes). You’ll even get the chance to sleep under the stars in the bush.
