About the project:
The centre believes that change is most effectively attained through good communication and personal participation. Instead of imposing preconceived notions of what may be needed in any situation, the team first asks the local people what they need and then sets up small, manageable projects that they can stay directly involved with.
The organisation focuses on three main projects: one aimed at empowering children with special needs; the second, reforestation; and the third, an animal and wildlife rescue project.
These projects work in harmony with several smaller-scale missions, such as organic gardening, eco-tourism, English classes, after-school reading programs, and community employment.
What you’ll be doing:
There are all sorts of activities to get involved with. Volunteers are needed across both the main and side projects, to assist with English teaching, conservation work and animal care.
