Accommodation is provided. Volunteers can pay arrange their own food or eat with the host family for an additional £1.40 per meal (to be paid weekly).

About the project:

Our goal is to support sustainable development inPedro Moncayo and Cayambe. The organisation addresses a range of regional issues through projects such as organic agriculture and biodiversity programmes, small animal breeding, training and technology classes, rural micro-finance assistance, and craft workshops.

What you’ll be doing:

Conservation volunteers are needed to get involved with the agricultural project, the family garden project and the livestock and milk production project, while community volunteers are needed to assist with ESL classes, tourism projects and a local economy development project.

We’re also looking for technical assistants and grant writers, so there’s something for everyone!

Desired skills:

Volunteers must be at least 21 years old
Basic Spanish is essential
