About the project:
With English becoming a vital skill for employment in Nepal, FACE Nepal was set up to help improve the English of adults and children in Tharu communities. Working with its partners, the organisation has so far created three learning centres in Tharu villages in Chitwan – one in Patihani, one in Kumiya, and one in Ganganagar.
What you’ll be doing:
We need volunteers to run English classes for the children and adults in these villages.
Children aged between 3 and 14 attend classes before school, so volunteers will be teaching from around 7am. Adult classes may also be run in the evening, if there is sufficient interest.
Volunteers have the rest of the day free to plan lessons to get involved in other community projects, if they so choose.
Full training will be provided before you begin your placement.
