Placement number: 0014
Location: Argentina
Preferred Languages: English or Spanish
Date: All Year
Minimum Period: 1 month
The
transformation and destruction capacity of our natural systems is being checked
on a scale never been seen previously in Latin America. The technological
development allows environmental modifications of large territorial extensions
in short time lapses. This enormous transformation capacity is only comparable
to the non existing knowledge of the functions of mechanism from the affected
ecosystems, basic information at times where conservational strategies have to
be established.
The
development of investigations is an initial condition of different groups
present in the affected areas in order to obtain valuable information which
allows us to comprehend the functioning of the eco-systems, predict and take
measures for the future. And, in this way maintain a conservationist perspective
and sustainable development of human activities in these fragile areas.
Our
Research Station pretends to be an area for development of investigation
projects in situ from the most varied biological specialties with the objective
to conserve the Interior Atlantic Rainforest.
