Rescue Centre

Preferred Languages: Spanish - English, German and French are spoken by the director only
Date: Year round
Requirements: Must be 22 or over and have a degree in Vet medicine, biology or related subjects (last
                        year undergraduates are accepted)
Lenght: 90 days

We are the only wildlife rescue centre in the country. We rescue, rehabilitate and release whenever possible indigenous species of wildlife, such as capuchin monkeys, tortoise and fresh water turtles, deer, psittacines and raptors.We also have a permanent educational program with the local community schools  and a behaviioral research department.

Role of Volunteer

Volunteers stay for 90 days (period allowed by tourist card). They are in charge of faciliity maintenance, feeding, behavioral supervision and simple health issues.

Research Opportunities

We can offer research opportunities in behavourial studies.

Cost

US$ 450 for 3 months - includes food and accommodation

Travel

Taxi's cost US$50-60 from the international airport to Caracas. We will then be able to pick you up from Caracas.
