The Orphanage of DAYA (Destitute Aged & Young Association) is a Christian-based social organization established in 2004 with the purpose of "bringing the fatherhood of God to the fatherless." Currently over 22 children live at the orphanage, receiving a Christ-centered education, food, clothing, and love. It is located in Bhubaneswar, the capital town of Orissa state, in Southeast India.

Role of Volunteer

1. Teach children English
2. Teach children creative skills, handicrafts, music, dance, etc.
3. Care for children at the orphanage
4. Organize activities for the children at the orphanage
5. Oversee daily orphanage routines and help keep it clean

Cost

US $300 for the first month and $175 for subsequent months. This covers accommodation and food.

Travel

Volunteers will be met at the airport by the project manager or another experienced volunteer, who will travel with them to the project.
