Ecoteer offers different types of placements:
Volunteering on ecotourism placements offers diverse activities for the volunteer, such as teaching english, acting as a tourist guide and conservation work. Placements can last up to 12 months, although shorter placements are available.
View Placements
These often involve participation in worldwide conservation efforts and are generally short-term placements, ranging from 1 to 6 months.

These are humanitarian-type projects which involve helping and rebuilding deprived communities. Placements are usually long-term (6 months or more) and especially recommended if you have a medical background or want to help children.

These placements involve a high proportion of teaching. You will either teach at a local school, orphanige or in a community centre. Some placements will only allow volunteers with teaching qualificationse others are more relaxed and open to everyone. Volunteers will normally be teaching children aged 5-12 but some maybe older.

These projects allows you to conduct scientific study for your thesis (Bachelors, Masters and PhD) while you volunteer. You can conduct your study at a range of placements across the world. You will also be expected to help on a regular basis at your placement and will need to bring your own scientific equipment.

Organic farms offer you a chance to work for your keep. Many people volunteer at our farms to help prolong the time spent away. You will meet many travellers,short and long stayers, at these farms. Help is most needed during times of harvest when you will be expected to work hard during the day and party hard by night!
