About the project:

This children’s home in Jaipur is run by Ananda Marga nun Didi Gaotami, first opened in 2005 as just a tiny tin shed with no water and no toilet, housing eight orphans. In the space of only two years this shed was transformed into a two-storey building, and it now provides a home to 30 orphaned and impoverished children.

What you’ll be doing:

Volunteers are urgently needed to tutor the children and teach them English. In the future, we hope to open a slum school in the city, and we will ask our volunteers to help with that too.
