INTERNSHIP: Teach kindergarten children in Nicaragua

Food and accommodation are not provided. Accommodation at the volunteer house ranges from £16 to £32 per week (but volunteers are under no obligation to stay there), and average living costs range from £24 to £70.

About the project:

By providing opportunities and resources for the long term educational advancement and community development of Nicaraguan barrios we hope to brighten the future of the children by empowering the people of the villages to improve their current living conditions and break the cycle of poverty. Our focus is on children’s education.

What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for Kindergarten Tutors to work with students in the classroom from Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 12pm, throughout the school year (which runs from February to November).

You’ll be helping pupils with reading, writing, mathematics and other classwork, and the teacher may also ask you to work one-on-one with students who need extra help.
